Natures Shield, KZN

Three standards. Every product.

Ranger wear, backpacks, medical kits, or webbing. Every category we make is held to the same three standards.

Quality

Every panel, every stitch, every zipper. Sourced from YKK, Cordura fabrics, and military grade hardware. Inspected by a person before it leaves our floor.

  • YKK ZIPPERS
  • CORDURA
  • QC INSPECTED

Field Tested

Tested across weeks long ranger rotations, vehicle mounting, and patrol loads. If it does not survive the bushveld, it does not ship.

Manufactured in house.

Tactical Tailor is our facility in KZN. Design, prototyping, cutting, and sewing all happen under one roof, so we control every stitch, every zipper, and every seam.

When a ranger pulls an IFAK in the field, they need gear that has been inspected by a person, not a spreadsheet.

Most brands rebrand imported blanks. We refuse to ship gear we have not made ourselves.

How a Natures Shield product is made

  1. Design

Every build starts from a field brief. Load, climate, and how the kit is actually carried.

  2. Prototype

A 21 day prototype phase. Samples go to rangers and operators before anything scales.

  3. Cut and sew

600D ripstop, Cordura panels, and YKK closures, cut and stitched on our own floor.

  4. Inspect

Every unit is checked by hand. Fabric lots stay traceable from panel to finished product.

From the people who depend on the gear.

Game Rangers, Task Force operators, and private security teams run Natures Shield on every shift.

We tested the 35L pack on a six week anti poaching rotation. The YKK zips, the Cordura panels, the way the admin pocket is laid out. This is gear made by people who actually carry gear.
Section Ranger, KZN Wildlife Partner Reserve
The IFAKs pulled clean every time. The tear away is fast, the MOLLE backing locks solid.
Tactical Medic, Private Security Firm
Lead time was honest, the spec was honored. We scaled from 12 kits to 240 with zero defects.
Procurement Lead, Regional Task Force
The webbing does not slip under load. We broke competitor straps in the first week. Natures Shield is still on the vehicles.
Vehicle Commander, Field Operations

Natures Shield founders, ex Game Rangers, in the field with rhino behind them
35+Years of experience in the field

Built for the field, not the shelf.

Founded by ex Game Rangers, because the people who carry our gear do not get a second chance.

We exist for the ranger tracking poachers at dawn, the operator on a high risk entry, and the procurement officer who has to answer for every cent spent.

Every product starts with the same question. Not what looks good on a catalog page, not what is cheapest to source. What keeps them safe, light, and moving when it matters.

If we would not stake our own name on it, we do not ship it.
